Responsibilities
In this position, you will be working with a technical team of geologists, hydrogeologists, geochemists, engineers, and GIS analysts. As part of the team, you will be expected to participate in and lead field efforts; collect, manage and analyze data; author reports; develop presentations; manage tasks; interact with clients; grow our service offerings and client base; and contribute to the science-based solutions that INTERA develops and delivers to its water resources and environmental clients. This will include developing and implementing technical work plans, leading and participating in teams on field programs and quantitative studies, and providing subject matter expertise to project managers on a variety of projects.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in geology, hydrogeology, or a related field
- 5 - 10 years of experience in geology and hydrogeology
- Strong communication skills
· Experience with Hawaii-specific hydrologic, geologic, and groundwater quality datasets
- Experience with Hawaii-specific groundwater and well regulations
- Experience with Hawaii-specific permitting requirements
- Experience with well siting, design, and rehabilitation
- Experience with drilling oversight, logging, and soil/groundwater sampling
- The ability to work independently to complete technical work
- The ability to travel to project sites or meetings, including drilling and related field activities that may last up to one consecutive week
- Enthusiasm to work with our clients to develop science-based, sustainable, and economic solutions to their water resources/environmental challenges
- Experience with project and/or task management
