INTERA is looking for a motivated intern to spend Summer 2025 with our talented team of geoscience and engineering professionals in our Richland, Washington office (winner of a 2024 Best Places to Work award in the Mid-Columbia region). This is a unique opportunity to be mentored by a leading group of experts while gaining valuable industry experience supporting our work at the Hanford Site – one of the largest environmental cleanup projects in the world.

Internship Description

In this 10-week program, our interns will work closely with INTERA risk assessment professionals to support the preparation of risk and dose assessments supporting the Hanford Site’s cleanup. In return, you will be introduced to statistical analysis of environmental sample results, human and ecological risk assessment procedures for both radiological and chemical contaminants, and management of wastes based on Federal and State regulatory programs. This internship will be mentored by a successful, experienced ecotoxicologist.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Currently working towards a college degree in biology, toxicology, or a related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Completed coursework in biology, chemistry, and statistics are desirable

 

Expected Salary Range: $20 per hour
