Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of this position is to meet the software quality assurance (SQA) requirements for software used in performing calculations to support environmental decisions. Essential job functions are:
- Assisting the SQA Team Lead and Responsible Manager in quality assurance operations
- Creating and maintaining quality documentation specific to software used at INTERA’s Richland office
- This involves reviewing and testing commercially available and/or custom-developed software, writing reports per SQA procedures, maintaining software configuration control, data analysis and review
- Facilitating and processing site-specific training materials for current and future employees of INTERA’s Richland office
- Performing internal auditing for adherence to SQA procedures governed by the Federal contract
- Creating, reviewing, and maintaining quality documentation of custom-developed scripts used for pre-and post-processing numerical modeling operations
- Assisting and developing custom-developed scripts under the guidance of a programming team
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience in the field of software engineering, computer science, data science, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SQA documentation with a preference for experience working under federal contracts
- Understanding of and experience writing in modern, common programming languages such as Python and R

Expected Salary range: $79,000 – $110,000
