INTERA is looking for a part-time IT Support Analyst to join us at our corporate headquarters in Austin, Texas. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical support within our organization. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting network systems, assisting with the deployment and maintenance of IT infrastructure, and providing helpdesk support to users. The IT Support Analyst plays a crucial role in maintaining the day-to-day IT operations, ensuring all systems function smoothly and efficiently. Our ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver quality customer service.
This is an office-based role in Austin, Texas. We will not be considering remote candidates at this time.
Job Responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Provide first and second-level support for hardware and software issues
- Network Support: Assist in managing and troubleshooting network systems, including LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi connections
- Hardware and Software Maintenance: Help in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computers, peripheral devices, and software
- User Assistance: Offer helpdesk support, resolving user queries and guiding them through troubleshooting steps
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of IT problems and resolutions, and prepare technical documentation as needed
- System Monitoring: Monitor IT systems for issues and perform regular maintenance checks
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members to resolve complex issues and contribute to IT projects
- Training: Assist in training staff on new technologies and software applications
This position may require working outside of normal business hours on a limited basis and includes up to 20% travel to accommodate system maintenance, urgent support needs, or project deadlines.
For training purposes, staff will participate in at least 80 hours of professional development opportunities per year.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or a relevant field; education can be substituted for equivalent experience
- 1-2 years in IT support or a similar role
- Familiarity with computer hardware, software, and basic network systems
- Ability to problem-solve by diagnosing and addressing common technical issues.
- Good communication skills for user support
