Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide support for groundwater modeling projects and general hydrogeologic analysis under the direction of INTERA’s senior modelers and/or hydrogeologists. Work assignments will include developing conceptual models of groundwater flow systems, supporting the development of groundwater models, performing quantitative hydrogeology, analyzing aquifer pumping tests, and evaluating hydrogeochemical data. Other job duties will include working on quality assurance/quality control procedures for modeling, modeling report preparation, and technical presentations to clients, regulators, and other interested parties.
Required Qualifications
- BS or BA in Engineering, Geology, or a closely related field
- Solid foundational knowledge of numerical methods, MODFLOW codes, computer programming, and GIS software
- Programming experience with Python
Preferred Qualifications
- MS in Civil Engineering, Hydrogeology, or a similar field with an emphasis on groundwater hydrology and/or groundwater modeling
- 2-7 years of applicable experience with a primary emphasis on quantitative hydrogeology and/or groundwater modeling
