Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide support for general hydrogeologic analysis under the direction of INTERA’s senior modelers/hydrogeologists. This includes developing conceptual models of groundwater flow systems, supporting the development of groundwater models, performing quantitative hydrogeology, analyzing aquifer pumping tests, and evaluation of data using geostatistical techniques.  Other job duties will include working to quality assurance / quality control procedures for modeling, report preparation, and technical presentations to clients, regulators, and other interested parties.

 

Required Qualifications

  • BS or BA in Engineering, Geology, or a closely related field
  • Solid understanding of hydrogeological principles and practices, and experience with computer programming languages
  • Programming experience with Python

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS in Hydrogeology, Civil Engineering, or a similar field with an emphasis on quantitative groundwater hydrology  
  • Experience with developing conceptual and numerical groundwater models
  • Experience with interpreting geophysical logs
