Based in the Americas, this role puts you at the center of exciting, high-stakes mining projects. You’ll build and grow client relationships across the sector, delivering technical expertise across the mining life cycle—from development to closure.
In this seller-doer role, you’ll be both strategist and scientist by representing INTERA at industry events, crafting compelling proposals, and delivering smart, science-backed solutions. You’ll lead the charge on projects that matter by bringing your modeling skills and hydrogeologic insight to the forefront.

Responsibilities
- Lead and grow client relationships across the mining sector, with a focus on mine water management, geochemistry, and permitting.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, develop proposals, and represent INTERA at industry events.
- Direct multidisciplinary teams on projects ranging from mine water supply and dewatering to closure planning.
- Apply and oversee groundwater modeling to support mine planning, permitting, and operations.
- Anticipated travel averaging 3-4 times per quarter
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in hydrology, geology, civil, geological, or mining engineering, or a related field with an emphasis in hydrogeology
- 15+ years of professional experience in mining hydrogeology or related fields with increasing levels of responsibility, preferably with consulting or mining industry practices
- Proven track record of project delivery, technical leadership, and business development.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex science into actionable insights for clients and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in hydrology, geology, civil, geological, mining engineering, or a related field with an emphasis in hydrogeology
- PG and QP registrations
- Experience with NI 43-101 or S-K 1300 Technical Reports
- Experience with underground, open pit, and/or solution mining environments
- Expertise with numerical groundwater modeling (e.g., MODFLOW)
- Familiarity with decision support (e.g., PEST, PESTPP) tools
- Experience, knowledge, and client contacts in the mining industry
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) speaking and writing
